Maps/Travel Information

Our villa is on the Northern Yucatan Coast, about 75 km from the capital city of Merida and about 40 km from the port city of Progreso. We are about 372 km( 230 miles) from Cancun.

United, American, and Westjet fly into Merida. You can also get flights to Cancun from a variety of airlines including American, Jet Blue, United, Delta, Southwest and Westjet. You should check for availability for your local area, and for more airlines, too, that might have flights to these locations.

Many people prefer to fly into Cancun because the flights are much cheaper than those to Merida, with many more flight times available than to Merida. The drive from Cancun to our villa is about 3 ½-4 hours on safe, well maintained and uncrowded superhighway and state highways.

You can rent cars at Cancun airport, or at the Merida airport, too.

There are bus lines with comfortable, modern air-conditioned buses that will transport you from Cancun to Merida, if you prefer not to drive. You can then rent a car in Merida and drive the remaining 45 minutes to Telchac Puerto.

A link to information about these buses and public transportation in the Yucatan, follows.

The Yucatan is vast, with many interesting destinations so that you will need a car to get around once you arrive.

My sister and I stayed there in 2008.  I think it is one of the most relaxing places I have ever been. The Villa is absolutley beautiful and you do not have to go to far to shop for groceries.  We got Manuel to cook for us and that was an added plus.  What I loved most about staying in the Villa is the peacefullness and the beautiful sunsets from the villa. I wish I was there now!
