About the Villa

Are you looking for a quiet getaway on the beach? You will agree that our Villa de Brisas Marinas - Sea Breeze Villa - is just the place. We discovered the charming fishing village of Telchac Puerto and would like to share our beautiful, new home there with you. The villa is set steps from the Gulf of Mexico with beach weather all year round. As you enter the front gate through the covered patio with its lovely mosaic floor, to the gate to the beach, you will be on your way to paradise. Sit under our beachfront palapa and enjoy the blue water and white sand and no crowds!

You will enjoy the open floor plan designed and tastefully appointed by local architect, Gabriela Cornelio. From Mexican tile floors, the 5 sliding glass doors to the exquisite tile accents in the kitchen and baths, you are surrounded by the beauty of the sea and the charm of local decor.

The living/dining area is spacious and opens with two sets of sliding glass doors to a covered patio overlooking our private beach.

We provide all that you need from linens to a well- equipped kitchen. We placed a gas cooktop in the counter, so that if you choose, you may prepare a meal while enjoying the ocean view and the company of your friends and family. It also has a split-system air conditioner.

We have three bedrooms, all with ceiling fans, and three full bathrooms. There are two bedrooms with queen size beds; one has a balcony. These bedrooms share a bath. The expansive master bedroom with king bed, ensuite bath and large walk-in closet overlooks the master balcony. The balcony has a breathtaking view of the beach and Gulf of Mexico. Each of the bedrooms has its own split-system air conditioner. The third full bath is on the first floor.

You can walk the beach at any time and you might see a person or two so that in effect, you have it all to yourself. It is a 2-3 km walk along the beach to Telchac Puerto Centro, where there a few modest restaurants serving local fare, a convenience store or two and a gift shop. The town center is lovely and peaceful, and many of the buildings are being painted with murals.

Walking the beach, shelling, watching the pelicans fish for food or the cormorants soar overhead are just some of the relaxing activities you will find at our beachfront villa.

Telchac Puerto is a quiet, friendly typically Mayan fishing village, where the main attraction is peace, quiet and warm sunny days. This area of The Emerald Coast is experiencing some growth, as new villas are being built attracting Canadians and Americans to the area.

The towns of Progreso (25 minutes away) and Motul (20 minutes away) have markets, restaurants, and shops, where you can get all of the necessities when you need them. Both are easily accessible on well-maintained, safe, state highways. There are small markets in Telchac Puerto, as noted earlier.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa de Brisas Marinas last January. We felt like we were in paradise. We liked all the restaurants nearby, as well as the charming community.

There were three couples in our party. We arrived on Dec. 26th, 2010 rented two cars at the Cancun Airport, and drove to the villa. We were amazed at the beautiful Mexican highway systems, the well-marked roads and the exact directions we received form our hosts. The villa was spotlessly clean, very spacious with plenty of room for us to spread out. We became friends with the handyman who cares for the villa--such a nice man! He cooked 2 delicious meals for us and took the men fishing in his Panga. The town was very close to the villa and we all enjoyed eating at the little restaurants and meeting the friendly residents. You won't be disappointed if you choose this beautiful villa in this quaint little village!
